20 Month Update!

It has been so long since I have posted. We have been super busy this last month. We spent the last few weeks prepping our house for the market. We painted the kitchen cabinets, put in a new kitchen floor, landscaped, put in a new garage door opener, painted the bathroom, fixed our front porch bricks, and deep cleaned the whole house. Our parents came out to help us one weekend, and Brody was a trooper through the whole few weeks.

We are going to sell our house and hopefully take advantage of someone who qualifies for the first time home buyer tax credit. We had considered selling our house at the beginning of the summer to move to Bellevue, but decided that since we had daycare in Glenwood that we were happy with, we weren't going to sell. Since we don't have daycare in Glenwood anymore, we are hopefully going to move soon now. We just wish we would have known in May that we were going to have to switch daycare providers. It would have made our lives a lot easier, and saved us a ton of money.

Brody started new daycare in Bellevue at the beginning of August. We could not be happier with our new setting! BC is wonderful with Brody and he is loving playing with the other kids. Plus, I am loving having Brody in Bellevue with me. It makes it a lot easier knowing that he is 5 minutes away. Brody has also come to my classroom to play a couple of times while I finish up work after school. He absolutely loves it!

Anyway, back to Brody. He has adjusted to me going back to work pretty well, except for the whole sleeping thing. For some reason, he thinks that getting up at 5:30 in the morning is okay. We are working on getting him to sleep 10 hours at night again. He was sleeping 10-11 hours during the summer, but senses that I am up and wakes up earlier now.

Brody has become quite the little man. He loves trains and there is a track on a hill about five miles away that we can see from our house. Whenever he hears the train, we have to run outside and watch it. We took Brody to the zoo this weekend and he rode the train for the first time. He loved it! Brody also loves coloring and writing with a pen. He says "d", "r" while he writes or colors. He is trying to spell his name, but says "d" instead of "b". He gets to BRO, and then stops. He also helps me count to three.

He is all boy and loves to play. His latest game is running back and forth on our new hardwood floor in the kitchen. I think he loves the sound it makes. He still loves watching Yo Gabba Gabba and now likes Blue's Clues as well. Brody loves to run and pretty much runs everywhere now. He helps put laundry away and loves to throw things in the trash for us.

We had a really busy summer and last few weeks and have been enjoying our last couple of weekends with no home improvement projects to do. Brody has had a little bit of a cold/allergies the last few days and he is also getting 4 teeth all at once. Wow, I have written a lot! Now for the pictures! Brody doesn't like getting his picture taken, but we try our best!
