Mother's Day

My mom came out Mother's Day weekend to babysit Brody so Travis and I could go to a surprise 40th birthday party for a friend. Brody continues to amaze us with his new talents and knowledge. He can sing his ABC's, count to 13, recognize 13 letters, and say a few letter sounds.
He is obsessed with the pbs show "Super Why", a reading cartoon. He loves to sing the theme song of "Super Why" as well as the "Max and Ruby" theme song. Brody loves to play outside in his sandbox and he is having a great time playing with his friends at daycare. I'm done with work on Friday (YAY!!), but am going to teach summer school. Brody really needs interaction with other kids right now. He is learning to share and take turns, and truly enjoys his time with his friends.

Happy Mother's Day Nana!

Brody is finally posing/smiling again for pictures.

Spring is Here!!

Brody has almost gotten his pajamas completely off.

Cheese!

A hat or shirt?!!

It's time for bed, but Brody has decided to run away with his pajama shirt on his head.

Trying to balance his pliers on his toes.

Playing with Daddy in his new sandbox.

Digging a hole.

We bought Brody a sandbox since he loves to dig. It was a good investment! Here he is helping Daddy fill it with sand.

Playing at the park. He loves to slide!

Peek a boo!

Playing with his John Deere tractor.

Brody loves his train set!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Merry Christmas!

We celebrated Christmas in Lovilia. Christmas Eve, Brody had a chance to meet Santa. I'm not a really big fan of waiting in line for Santa at a mall, so this was Brody's first meeting. We missed a huge snow storm while we were in Lovilia. Glenwood got 14 inches of snow while Lovilia got 2. Needless to say, we were blocked out of our driveway by the drifts. It was sure a welcome home.

Brody's third Christmas! Unbelievable!!

Brody didn't know what to think of Santa at first. He warmed up a little later.

Happy 2nd Birthday Brody!!

We celebrated Brody's birthday in Lovilia this year. We had a good crowd. Brody wore his Hawkeye Orange Bowl t-shirt. Brody had a Thomas the Train birthday theme. He got lots of fun gifts, including a Buzz and Woody, a farm set, a big wheel, a remote control car, and many many other things. He is one spoiled little boy!

Gotta love Thomas.

Brody's mini cake, although he did not even touch it. He's not a cake person.

December Fun

Brody and Mom enjoyed three extra days off thanks to a snow storm. We made lots of cookies since I had extra time off. Brody was a good helper.

Brody waits patiently to scoop out the cookie cutter shapes from the dough.

Brody's first candy cane. I think he approved!
